🧪 When to Use Oxalic Acid Vaporization
Oxalic acid vapor works best when mites are exposed on adult bees. Since it cannot pass through capped brood, treatments are most effective during broodless periods, such as:

• Late fall or winter, when colonies cluster without brood
• After hiving a swarm
• During brood breaks, such as after requeening

Treating at these times ensures the vapor reaches nearly all mites, improving results while keeping the colony undisturbed.
