(from The Little Yellow Book of Bees series)
Beekeeping looks simple.
A box. Some bees. A few tools and a veil.
But anyone who’s opened a hive knows: it’s not easy.
You can’t shortcut your way to confidence in the bee yard. You get there by doing — and usually? By messing it up a few times.
That’s why we’re kicking off a new video and blog series tied to my upcoming book, The Little Yellow Book of Bees — a practical guide for imperfect beekeepers. Each post is a short story or lesson from the field, and it all leads to the book’s release this fall.
The only way to get good at beekeeping
is to work bees and make mistakes.
So don’t wait until you “know it all.”
Open your hives.
Mess up a little.
Learn. Repeat.
That’s how you become a beekeeper.
